Terms of Service

Welcome to Discoverer Shop. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website www.sodiscoverer.com and your purchase of products and services offered through the website.

By accessing our website, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. About Discoverer

Discoverer Shop ("Discoverer," "we," "us," or "our") provides marine display replacement parts, touchscreen solutions, custom display upgrades, and related marine electronics accessories.

Our products may include new, used, pre-owned, refurbished, aftermarket, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) pull-out, and custom-modified components, depending on the individual product listing.

Discoverer is an independent business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially authorized by Garmin, Lowrance, Simrad, B&G, Humminbird, or other third-party manufacturers unless a specific product or written agreement expressly states otherwise.

References to third-party brands, trademarks, and product models on our website are made solely for product identification, compatibility, repair, replacement, and service-description purposes.

2. Eligibility and Permitted Use

You may use this website and purchase our products if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.

Our products may be purchased for personal use or commercial purposes, including marine equipment repair, installation, refurbishment, vessel maintenance, dealership, distribution, and resale, subject to applicable laws and any separate written agreement between the parties.

You agree not to use our website for unlawful purposes or in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or interfere with the website or its operation.

3. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product descriptions, specifications, photographs, compatibility information, dimensions, condition descriptions, and availability information.

However, products may vary slightly from photographs or descriptions because of model revisions, manufacturing differences, refurbishment processes, or individual product condition.

For used, pre-owned, refurbished, OEM pull-out, or custom-modified products, the actual item supplied may show reasonable signs of previous use unless the product listing states otherwise.

The condition of each product will be identified in the applicable product listing whenever reasonably possible.

4. Product Condition and Classification

Where applicable, our products may be described using terms such as:

New — A new product or component that has not previously been used.

Used / Pre-Owned — A product or component previously installed or used and subsequently offered for sale.

OEM Pull-Out — A genuine original equipment component removed from an original device or assembly.

Refurbished — A previously used product or component that has been inspected, tested, repaired, restored, or otherwise prepared for resale.

Aftermarket Replacement — A non-original replacement component designed to replace a component used in a specified device.

Custom Modified / Upgrade — A product or assembly modified, customized, or engineered by Discoverer for a particular application.

The specific classification shown on the relevant product page applies to that product.

5. Compatibility and Model Verification

Marine electronics can have different hardware revisions, connectors, mounting structures, LCD panels, touch panels, cables, circuit boards, firmware versions, and internal configurations even when similar or identical model numbers are used.

For this reason, model-number matching alone may not always guarantee compatibility.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the product description and compatibility information before ordering.

For products where compatibility may vary, we strongly recommend that customers contact us before purchase and provide the device model, photographs, existing screen information, connector information, dimensions, or other relevant details.

Where we confirm compatibility based on information provided by the customer, such confirmation is based on the information available to us at that time and may be subject to the condition and configuration of the customer's original equipment.

6. Custom Display Upgrades

Discoverer offers custom display upgrades and retrofit solutions for selected marine electronics.

Custom products may involve changes to display size, mounting structures, touch interfaces, bezels, cables, electronics, brackets, or other components.

Because custom products are designed for particular applications, customers should confirm the required model, dimensions, functions, installation requirements, and other specifications with us before placing an order.

Custom products may not be returnable solely because the customer changes their mind after production or shipment, except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in our Refund Policy.

7. Orders and Order Acceptance

Submitting an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order is not considered finally accepted until payment has been successfully processed and we have accepted or confirmed the order.

We reserve the right to refuse, limit, cancel, or correct an order where necessary, including in cases involving:

  • Incorrect pricing or product information

  • Product availability errors

  • Suspected fraudulent or unauthorized transactions

  • Incorrect shipping information

  • Compatibility concerns

  • Duplicate orders

  • Technical or system errors

  • Other circumstances requiring reasonable correction

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will issue an appropriate refund for the canceled portion of the order.

8. Prices and Payment

Product prices are displayed on the relevant product pages unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change without prior notice, but changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted unless required by law.

Shipping charges, taxes, customs duties, brokerage fees, import fees, or other destination-related charges may apply depending on the shipping destination and order.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the final order amount and any applicable charges before completing checkout.

We may use third-party payment providers to process payments. Payment information may be processed according to the applicable payment provider's terms and privacy policies.

9. Shipping and Delivery

We ship products to destinations where delivery is available.

Shipping methods, estimated delivery times, processing times, and applicable shipping charges are described in our Shipping Policy and may also be shown during checkout.

Estimated delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

Delivery may be delayed by factors outside our reasonable control, including customs processing, import procedures, carrier delays, weather, holidays, incomplete addresses, or other transportation issues.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address and contact information.

For international orders, the customer is responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, clearance fees, or other destination-country charges unless expressly stated otherwise.

10. Customs, Import and Export Compliance

International customers are responsible for complying with the laws and regulations applicable to the importation, use, resale, installation, or exportation of purchased products.

Discoverer does not guarantee that a particular product is permitted to enter a customer's country or that it will be exempt from customs duties, taxes, inspections, or other import requirements.

Customers should consult the appropriate customs or government authorities where necessary before placing an international order.

11. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

Returns, refunds, cancellations, exchanges, and related procedures are governed by our Refund and Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Customers should review the Refund and Return Policy before purchasing.

For products that are used, refurbished, custom-modified, specially ordered, or manufactured specifically for a customer's application, additional return conditions may apply as described on the product page or in the applicable order documentation.

Customers should contact us before sending any product back. Unauthorized returns may result in processing delays.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

12. Product Inspection and Installation

Customers should inspect products promptly after delivery.

Before installation, customers should verify the product model, dimensions, connectors, physical condition, and other relevant specifications.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, installation is the customer's responsibility.

Installation of marine electronic components may require technical knowledge and appropriate tools. Customers should use qualified technicians where necessary.

Discoverer is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, incorrect wiring, incorrect voltage, physical modification, water intrusion, misuse, impact, electrical faults, incompatible equipment, or other installation-related issues outside our control.

13. Testing and Quality Control

Where stated in a product listing, Discoverer may inspect, test, refurbish, or otherwise verify products before shipment.

Testing procedures may vary depending on the product type and available testing equipment.

A statement that a product has been tested does not mean that every function of the customer's complete marine electronic system has been tested under every possible operating condition.

For custom upgrades, we may perform compatibility and functional testing based on the information and equipment available to us before shipment.

14. Limited Warranty

Unless a product listing or written agreement states otherwise, products are supplied subject to the warranty terms specifically stated for the individual product.

Warranty coverage, where offered, may vary according to whether the product is new, used, refurbished, OEM pull-out, aftermarket, or custom modified.

Warranty coverage does not normally include damage caused by:

  • Improper installation

  • Incorrect wiring or voltage

  • Water damage caused after delivery

  • Physical impact or misuse

  • Unauthorized modification

  • Damage caused by incompatible equipment

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

Where a product is claimed to be defective, Discoverer may request photographs, videos, serial numbers, installation information, diagnostic information, or other reasonable evidence before determining the appropriate remedy.

15. Third-Party Brands and Trademarks

Garmin, Lowrance, Simrad, B&G, Humminbird, and other brand names and trademarks referenced on our website belong to their respective owners.

Such references are used solely to identify the equipment, models, compatibility, replacement applications, or services discussed.

Unless expressly stated in writing, Discoverer does not claim to be an authorized dealer, official repair center, certified service provider, OEM, subsidiary, partner, or representative of any third-party brand.

16. Intellectual Property

20. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Discoverer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the purchase, installation, use, inability to use, or performance of a product, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data, vessel downtime, or other indirect losses.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Discoverer's total liability relating to a particular order will not exceed the amount actually paid to Discoverer for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

21. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Discoverer, its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the website, misuse of products, violation of these Terms, or infringement of the rights of another party.

27. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Return Policy, Shipping Policy, and any additional written terms specifically applicable to an order, constitute the agreement governing your use of our website and purchase of products from Discoverer, except where a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise.

28. Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms and any dispute relating to an order or your use of our website will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Where permitted by law, disputes should first be addressed by contacting Discoverer so that the parties may attempt to resolve the matter directly and in good faith.

Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
